The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 95 dated 9.10.2013 u/s 498-A/406 IPC registered at P.S. Begowal, District Kapurthala at the instance of complainant Sharanjit Kaur on the basis of compromise.4* The parties were directed to appear before CJM, Kapurthala and get their statements recorded regarding matter having been compromised. The complainant has put in appearance and get her statement recorded that the matter has been compromised. Matrimonial dispute having been settled, following the Full Bench judgment of this court in Kulwinder Singh and ors vs. State of Punjab and anr 2007(3) RCR (Cr.) 1052, I deem it appropriate to quash the FIR and all the proceedings emanating therefrom. Accordingly, the petition is allowed, the above said FIR and all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
