**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Due to the outbreak of pandemic COVID-19, the instant case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3, to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioners, who have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 & 5.
In compliance to the order dated 10th July, 2020, the learned State counsel has filed certain documents, through e-mail, in Court today, which are taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. A perusal of the same reveals that the parents of petitioner No.1 have no objection to the marriage of the petitioners, therefore, the threat perception has ceased to exist. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the statements recorded of respondents No.4 & 5 (parents of petitioner No.1), which have been placed on record, he would not want press the present petition. Dismissed as not pressed.
