(ORAL) The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is qua the order dated 07.09.2018, which the respondents have passed in pursuance to the directions given by this Court in CWP No.19104 of 2017 on 06.09.2017. By the said petition, petitioner was seeking the benefits, for which he is entitled for after the retirement, which benefits are being withheld due to the pendency of a charge-sheet dated 11.11.2014. In the order dated 07.09.2018, it has been stated by the respondents that the enquiry proceedings are almost over as the enquiry report has already been received and the said enquiry report is to be presented before the Personnel Committee being the competent authority to take the appropriate decision on the said charge-sheet and after the decision is taken by the Personnel Committee, the consequential relief, if any, will be given to the petitioner.

CWP-11082-2019 -2six months have elapsed since the passing of the impugned order, still the charge-sheet dated 11.11.2014 has not been taken to its logical end, which is causing great prejudice to the petitioner as his retiral benefits have been withheld.
Counsel for the petitioner prays that the appropriate direction be issued to the respondents to finalize the said proceedings at the earliest.
Without going into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent No.2 to finalize the enquiry proceedings in respect of the charge-sheet dated 11.11.2014 pending against the petitioner, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Further, the finalization of the said charge-sheet shall be done in accordance with law and in case after finalization of the proceedings pending against the petitioner in pursuance to the charge-sheet dated 11.11.2014, petitioner is found entitled for any benefits in respect of the service rendered by him with the department, the same shall also be released to him at the earliest.
