The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to provide it as well as its officials and workers protection and security from local residents preventing completion of construction work of storage facilities for utilization by respondent No.7-PUNGRAIN. It is further seeking action against the local residents interfering in the construction work. It is also seeking direction to respondent No.7 to consider representation seeking additional time for construction of storage facilities. 2.

The petitioner is a partnership firm which has been awarded tender by respondent No.7-PUNGRAIN vide award dated 15.12.2025 for construction of Cover and Plinth ('CAP') for storage of food grains to be managed and supervised by respondent No.7 for 4 year on 'build, own and operate' basis.  Sangarsh Committee threatened its workers for construction on the ground that the path leading to their fields will be occupied and destroyed on account of ingress and egress of heavy loaded trucks. They also demolished part of the construction during the protest. It filed a spate of representations to the official respondents seeking assistance but to no avail. It has preferred a representation to respondent No.7 for grant of additional time to construct the storage facility but the same has not been addressed till date. 3.

Learned State counsel submits that matter has been amicably settled between the parties.

Faced with this, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that PUNGRAIN may be directed to consider its application for extension of time.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of. The petitioner would be at liberty to approach PUNGRAIN for extension of time.
