The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release payment with respect to work carried out by it for the respondent. 2.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from Mr. Rahil Saini, XEN, Water Services Division, Irrigation Department, Jagadhri, submits that admitted liability would be paid within six weeks from today. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid statement.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent to release payment to the petitioner within six weeks from today. It is made clear that if payment is not released within aforesaid period, the rate of interest would be 9% p.a.
