Instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to get released the detenue, namely, Aishwarya Telgad, wife of the petitioner, from the illegal custody of respondents No.4 to 6.

Status report by way of an affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Malerkotla, District Malerkotla has been filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3, in compliance of the order dated 21.06.2021 passed by this Court.
