**** ANITA CHAUDHRY, J The petitioner is seeking regular bail in FIR No. 228 dated 2.5.2017 registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Amritsar under Sections 376 IPC.

Petitioner is in custody since 18.5.2017. Challan has been presented. Allegations of rape have been levelled against the maternal uncle. The incident is stated to have taken place in the Mental Hospital, Amritsar where the girl was admitted for treatment. The DNA report has been received. The sample did not match. No semen was found on the swabs.

Without commenting anything on the merits of the case and considering the fact that the trial will take time to conclude, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing Gurpreet Singh Bhatia 2018.02.07 16:06 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh
