ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) By invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., the petitioner has prayed for quashing of FIR No.98 dated 13.08.2013 for offence punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered with Police Station Kartarpur, District Jalandhar and proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 27.03.2017 (Annexure P-2) arrived at between the parties. As per the report dated 27.11.2017 submitted by the trial Court, none of the parties have appeared for recording their statements. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous. However, it will be open for the parties to file a fresh petition in case, they still acknowledge the compromise.
