Affidavit of Jagbinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran, on behalf of respondents no. 1 to 3, filed today in Court, is ordered to be taken on record. The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners as they express an apprehension of being eliminated at the hands of respondents no.4 to 6 on account of the fact that they have married against their wishes.

There is no appearance on behalf of the petitioners. In paragraph 5 of the affidavit, filed on behalf of the State in Court today, it has been stated that after the filing of the present petition, the petitioners do not have any threat from anybody, and therefore, they do not seek any protection/security.
