The prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for quashing the merit litst (Annexure P-5), whereby the names of respondent No. 4 and 5 have been shown at Sr. No. 1 and 2 in Ex Servicemen, Punjab Category. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of as such. 3.
