The petitioners have filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure with a prayer to quash the FIR No.126 dated 13.09.2015 under Section 306 IPC registered at Police Station Sadar Phagwara, District Kapurthala (Annexure P-2) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Learned State counsel submits that the petitioners have been acquitted in the present case and the present petition has become infructuous.
