1. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 - The Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala to look into the matter and to ensure that the matter pertaining to FIR No.118, dated 7.9.2023 registered at Police Station Shambu, District Patiala under Sections 447, 511, 379, 506, 148 and 149 of Indian Penal Code, is got investigated fairly and expeditiously in accordance with law, so that a final report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. is submitted thereafter at the earliest.

2. Since learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner's husband, who is arrayed as an accused in the FIR, has been residing abroad Pankaj Kakkar 2024.04.24 18:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-20080-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) 2024:PHHC:055584 ever since 8.9.2021, it shall be open to the petitioner to furnish documents indicating absence of petitioner's husband in India since 8.9.2021 and which shall be duly looked into by the investigating agency at the time of filing final report.
