**** A.B.Chaudhari, J.(Oral) The petitioner seeks interim regular bail in the petition filed under Section 439 Cr.PC in case FIR No.20 dated 17.01.2015 under Sections 15, 18, 21, 22, 61, 29, 85 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 registered at Police Station City Ferozepur, District Ferozepur.

Heard learned counsel for the rival parties.

The ground on which the interim bail is sought is that the petitioner wants to perform the last rites of his father, who expired on 05.10.2017.

It is not in dispute that the petitioner was released under police custody for a period of one day. Now he seeks one week's interim bail for performing the last rites.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Gurdev Singh submits that there is no other son or daughter of the father of the petitioner. In my opinion, since he was released for a day earlier on the death of his father and in view of admitted fact that there is no other child to Sonia Bura 2017.10.12 15:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document chandigarh
