Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing impugned letter dated 19.02.2024, Annexure P-9, by which, application of the petitioner for issuance of Arms Licence being legal heir of the Arms Licence holder of Shri Sukhbir, son of Shri Ram Kishan, was rejected.

When confronted with the availability of an alternate remedy of filing an appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959, counsel for the petitioner seeks and is granted permission to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to take recourse to the same.
