H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) It is contended that petitioner - Prabhdeep Kaur had got married with Hardev Singh s/o Balwinder Singh, r/o Village Dalla, on 14.12.2015. Though initially parents of petitioner were against that marriage, however with passage of time they reconciled. However, Amrik Singh, elder brother of father of the petitioner, besides his family members and family of one Gurmit Singh, residents of same area, being of orthodox nature had been threatening the petitioner and her family members asking them not to enter the village otherwise they would not be spared. Such threats has been issued personally as well as telephonically. CRM-M No. 38511 of 2017 -2taken thereon. To safeguard her life and liberty, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present petition. The petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala to look into the grievances of the petitioner as contained in representation Annexure P-2 and then to take necessary measures to ensure that life and liberty of the petitioner is not jeopardized at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 8 or persons claiming under them.
