Petitioner No.1-Sakina aged 18 years 6 months and petitioner No.2-Rahul aged 20 years have approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect their life and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondent No.4 to 8. 2.
Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Ms. Sheenu Sura, DAG, Haryana, upon whom an advance copy of petition had already been served, accepts accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that both the petitioners are major and are good friends since the last more than 2 years and intend to PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.06.29 16:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

It has been submitted that the relationship amongst the petitioners is not acceptable to parents and relatives of petitioner No.1 i.e. respondents No.4 to 8, who have constantly been threatening the petitioners to cause harm to them, which forced the petitioners to leave their respective houses. 5.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards veracity of the averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Sonepat, District Sonepat to look into the matter and to dispose off the representation dated 21.6.2021 (Annexure P-3) expeditiousely in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is any genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners, then it be ensured that no harm is caused to the petitioners.

A copy of this order alongwith copy of representation dated 21.6.2021 (Annexure P-3) be sent to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Sonepat, District Sonepat for necessary compliance. 7.
It is, however, clarified that passing of the aforesaid order shall not confer any immunity upon the petitioners in case it is found that they have committed any wrong.
