SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondent No. 3, brother of petitioner No.1.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 05.11.2015, Annexure P-4 (referred to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana) made by the petitioners. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Jaspreet Kaur is 20.09.1993 as per copy of Voter Identity Card (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2-Dharminder Singh is 01.10.1992 as per copy of Passport (Annexure P-2). They got married on 05.11.2015. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3.

However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
