*** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed with a prayer that the petitioner, who is already on parole, be granted extension of the parole keeping in view the certain facts that the wife of the petitioner, who is in a family way, needs care and there is no-body else in the family to take care her. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the extension sought, is not being dealt with by the State, which is causing prejudice, as the parole granted to the petitioner is going to expire on 07.04.2026. 3.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Rahul Rampal, learned Addl. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and submits that in case any application qua parole has been moved, the appropriate order on the same would be passed within a period of 7 days from today. In case, it is found that extension can be given or VANITA 2026.04.06 17:05 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order and judgment

CRWP-3658-2026 fresh parole can be given, the same would be granted. 5.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed.
