Jaspal Singh, J The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing FIR No.94 dated May 12, 2015 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 406, 420, 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station, Zirakpur, Tehsil Dera Bassi, District SAS Nagar (Mohali) and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated September 29, 2015(Annexure P-2).

Crl. Misc. No.M-38556 of 2015 [2] In compliance of order dated November 16, 2015, report of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistgrate, Dera Bassi, has been received to the effect that the parties have arrived at a volunteer compromise and as per the statement of Investigating Officer, no accused has been declared proclaimed offender in the present FIR nor proclamation proceedings against any person are pending. Even otherwise, matter involved is personal in nature which has been amicably put at rest. In view of the above, this Court is of the considered opinion that continuation of criminal proceedings between the parties would be an abuse of process of law and present compromise is for their benefit and will bring peace and harmony between them. Consequently, instant petition stands allowed and FIR No.94 dated May 12, 2015 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 406, 420, 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station, Zirakpur, Tehsil Dera Bassi, District SAS Nagar (Mohali) and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioner.
