(ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Prayer in the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution is for the issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus to get released detenue-Simarjit Kaur, daughter of the petitioner, from the illegal detention of respondent No.4, by appointing a Warrant Officer. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.4 has induced the daughter of the petitioner and since 21.06.2021, the detenue has been missing. The petitioner has already moved a representation dated 21.06.2021 (Annexure P-1) for redressal of her grievance, but no action has been taken till date.

Vide order dated 22.6.2021, passed by this Court, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala-respondent No. 2 was directed to depute a Gazetted Police Officer to visit the house of respondent No. 4 and inquire as to whether the alleged detenue has been detained by him illegally or forcibly GURPREET SINGH 2021.08.27 17:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRWP No. 5749 of 2021 -2and to file a detailed report in this regard. Today learned State counsel, who is assisted by ASI Beant Singh, has placed on record the statement of the petitioner Joginder Kaur dated 26.8.2021, through e-mail. Photocopy of the same is taken on record as Mark 'A'. As per the statement of the petitioner, her daughter Simarjit Kaur has solemnized marriage with Nishan Singh and now she does not want to pursue the matter and her complaint be filed.

Keeping in view the above, the present petition has become infructuous and is disposed of as such.
