(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect their life and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 6 and other members of the family of petitioner No.2-Payal. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners fell in love with each other and intend to marry but the private respondents are against their marriage and have been threatening to cause harm to them. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards veracity of the averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.06.28 19:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-5767-2021 (O&M) respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Karnal, District Karnal to look into the matter and to dispose off the representation dated 21.6.2021 (Annexure P-3) expeditiousely in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is any imminent threat to life and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps be taken to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners. It is, however, clarified that the aforesaid order shall not confer any immunity upon the petitioners in case it is found that they have committed any wrong.
