Present writ petition has been filed for directing respondent No.2 to decide the pending application bearing case No.09/SDO for ejectment under the provisions of the Punjab Security of Land Tenure Act, in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset submits that petitioner has filed the petition for ejectment and the same is pending adjudication before respondent No.2 since 2021. He further submits that there is no material progress in the proceedings since the date of its filing. 3.

Notice of motion to the official respondents at this stage. 4.

On asking of the Court, Ms. Upasana Dhawan, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the State. She, on instructions, has submitted that the case is fixed before the authorities for 17.05.2024 for filing reply. She also submits that in some of the cases, LRs are also to be RITTU 2024.05.02 10:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the respondents have been granted at least 25 opportunities by the Court but intentionally they are not filing the reply only in order to delay the proceedings.

On hearing counsel for the parties and perusing the record, the present petition is disposed of with direction to the competent authority i.e. Assistant Collector, 1st Grade, Kaithal, Haryana (respondent No.2) to decide the case expeditiously, within four months from today, in case there is no legal impediment and any stay order passed by any Superior Court/Authority in this case.
