(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to provide protection to the life and liberty to the petitioners and also for directing respondents No. 4 and 5 not to interfere with the liberty and lives of the petitioners on account of their marriage conducted on 16.10.2015.

It has been averred that the date of birth of petitioner No.1 is 08.07.1995 as per copy of the 5th Class Examination certificate (Annexure P-1). Petitioner No.2 is also major and his date of birth is 17.01.1990 as per the copy of driving license (Annexure P-2).

The petitioners have got married on 16.10.2015 in Gurudwara Amar Shaheed Baba Moti Ram Mehra Sewa Dharam Committee, Gali No.17, Preet Nagar, Moga against the wishes of NAVEEN NAGPAL 2015.11.10 15:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-38702-2015  parents of petitioner No.1. The marriage certificate and the photographs of the marriage ceremony are appended as Annexures P-3 and P-4, respectively. The petitioners have made representation to respondents No.2 and 3 on 17.10.2015 (Annexure P-5) for the protection of their life and liberty. After hearing counsel for the petitioners and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the validity of the marriage and the age of the petitioners and keeping in view the binding precedent of the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lata Singh Vs. State of U.P. and another 2006(2) SCC (Criminal) 478, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to look into the said issue upon the representation (Annexure P-5) made to respondent No.2 and take necessary action in accordance with law and provide protection, if required.
