RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK, J The petitioners have approached this Court by way of instant petitions under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (for short 'Cr.P.C.') invoking its inherent jurisdiction for quashing of FIR No.136 dated 7.10.2013 under Sections 406, 420, 379, 506, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code ('IPC' for short), registered at Police Station Mehatpur, Distt. Jalandhar and the consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

Notice of motion was issued in the petition, vide order dated 6.12.2013 with an interim order. During the pendency of this petition, later petition bearing CRM No.M-20791 of 2015 came to be filed by the same set of petitioners-accused for quashing the same impugned FIR, however, on the basis GREESH SAHNI 2015.09.11 11:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-41544 of 2013 of an amicable settlement arrived at between the parties by way of compromise. Learned counsel for the parties are ad-idem that in view of the orders passed in CRM No.M-20791 of 2015, whereby the impugned FIR has been quashed on the basis of compromise, instant petition has been rendered infructuous and the same may be disposed of, as such. In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the parties and in view of the order passed today in CRM No.M-20791 of 2015, the instant petition stands disposed of as infructuous.
