Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. against State of Punjab and other respondents for protecting her life and liberty along with her family members from the hands of private respondents No.4 and 5 and to direct respondents No.2 and 3 to take appropriate action against the private respondents upon the representation dated 01.09.2017.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that earlier also, a petition was filed by the petitioner on the same facts, which was dismissed as withdrawn. Again, the petitioner has filed this petition.

The perusal of the petition nowhere shows that there is any Vineet Gulati 2017.10.25 16:39 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh serious threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner. No specific particulars

CRM No.M-38945 of 2017 -2have been mentioned as to when any threat has been given. Rather, the allegation in the representation is that the private respondents are harassing her on one pretext or other and pressurizing her for resignation and also to hand-over the old age pension of the villagers to them and they would distribute the same in the village.

In view of the above discussion, I find that there is no serious threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, therefore, no ground is made out for providing protection.

As regarding the prayer that action be taken against the private respondents in view of the representation dated 01.09.2017, the petitioner can avail alternative remedy as held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Sakiri Vasu v. State of U.P. and others, 2008 (1) R.C.R. (Cr.) 392. Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
