CRM-M-19733-2020 The petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No. 202 dated 20.9.2019 under Section 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 registered at Police Station City South Moga. Custody certificate by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent (M), Central Prison, Faridkot, has been filed through E-mail. Print out of the same is taken on record.

CRM-M No. 19733 of 2020 (O&M) -2recovery of 2000 tablets of Clovidol-100 SR has been allegedly effected from the dikki of the scooter, which was being driven by Narinderpal Singh @ Lovely and he has been granted regular bail by this Court on 14.7.2020. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner has been in custody since 20.9.2019 and the charges have been framed but the evidence is yet to commence.
On the other hand, learned State counsel has opposed the bail application.
In the present case, co-accused Narinderpal Singh @ Lovely has already been granted regular bail by this Court on 14.7.2020. The petitioner has been in custody since 20.9.2019. The trial will take time to conclude. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars.
Without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
