Jarnail Singh v. Nachhattar Singh
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH (218) RSA-3238-2001 (O&M) Date of Decision:-16.04.2026 JARNAIL SINGH (SINCE DECEASED) THROUGH HIS LRS AND OTHERS ... Appellants
Versus
NACHHATTAR SINGH AND OTHERS . . Respondents -.-
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIRINDER AGGARWAL
Present:
None for the appellants.
Mr. Parminder Singla, Advocate, for Mr. M.K. Singla, Advocate, for the respondents.
**** VIRINDER AGGARWAL , J . (Oral) 1.
No one has put in appearance on behalf of the appellants today. Even order dated 08.10.2025 for impleading the LRs No.(i), (ii) and (iv) of respondent No.1 has not been complied with. No application has been moved for impleading the LRs of respondent No.5, so, it seems that appellants have lost interest in pursuing the instant appeal. 2.
In such circumstances, the appeal cannot be pursued any further and no useful purpose would be served by keeping the instant appeal on the docket, indefinitely.
3.
Accordingly, the instant appeal stands dismissed for want of prosecution with liberty to the LRs of appellants, if any, to revive the same, if have any grievance from this order.
4.
As a natural corollary, since the main case stands dismissed for want of prosecution, miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of, as no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping them . (VIRINDER AGGARWAL) 16th April, 2026 JUDGE S. Pathania Whether reasoned / speaking?
