R.P. NAGRATH, J. (Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of direction to respondents to take appropriate legal action in FIR No. 66 dated 12.07.2014 for offences under Sections 308, 323, 506, 427, 148 and 149 IPC, Police Station Longowal, District Sangrur and to call for the status report in the said matter as accused are roaming free. Learned State counsel has filed the report by way of affidavit of Jagatpreet Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division, Sunam and the same be taken on record. Learned State counsel submits that as per reply all the four accused were arrested and challan has since been presented.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that allegations were against 13 persons. For that, the petitioner may have other alternative remedy.
The challan having already been presented, no further indulgence of this Court is required and the instant petition is disposed of as such.
