   **** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Through this second petition, the petitioner seeks regular bail in case bearing FIR No.178 dated 04.10.2021, registered under Sections 22-C of the NDPS Act, at Police Station STF Phase-4 SAS Nagar, Mohali, the first one having been dismissed on merits vide order dated 19.07.2022 passed by this Court.

Status report by way of an affidavit dated 14.08.2023 of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Special Task force, SAS Nagar (Mohali), filed on behalf of the respondent-State, in the Court, is taken on record. Copy whereof has been supplied to the learned counsel opposite. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer that the petitioner will be satisfied if the directions are issued to the trial Court concerned, to conclude the trial, within a time bound manner.

CRM-M-22287-2023 (O&M) -2Learned State counsel submits that out of 13 prosecution witnesses, 12 have already been examined. He, however, has no objection in allowing the aforesaid limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
