The instant petition has been fied under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 65 dated 16.10.2015 under Sections 363 & 366 IPC, registered at Police Station Sanaur, District Patiala. 2.

In the petition, it is contended that the said FIR came to be registered on a statement given by respondent No.2 namely, Charan Singh, who was pressurizing his young daughter to marry against her wishes. As she did not want to marry with a person of her parent's choice, she left her parental house of her own free will. Thereafter she approached this Court seeking protection of life and liberty by filing CRM-M-38767-2015 titled as 'Suman Rani Vs. State of Punjab and others', which petition came to be disposed of on 10.11.2015 by granting her the said protection. CRM-M-39149-2015 -2in the petition that a false case has been registered against the petitioner under the aforesaid sections since respondent No.3 herein left her parental house at her own free will against the pressure of her parents getting her married against her wishes, the FIR should be quashed. 3.

Reply has been filed by way of an affidavit of Sukhminder Singh Ghuman, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rural Patiala,District Patiala, wherein it is stated that after thorough investigation it was found that no offences are made out and that the police has already filed a cancellation report in this regard.

Since the very prayer of this petition is for quashing of the FIR No. 65 dated 16.10.2015 under Sections 363 & 366 IPC, registered at Police Station Sanaur, District Patiala, and in view of filing of the cancellation report which was accepted on 12.10.2016, no further orders are called for. 5.

Petition stands disposed of.
