Tribhuvan Dahiya, J (Oral) The petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent-Department to promote the petitioner to the post of Headmaster w.e.f. 01.01.1996, the date when his junior was so promoted, with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that grievance raised herein is pending for appropriate decision before respondent No.2. At this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied in case respondent No.2 is directed to decide his pending representation dated 05.06.2023, Annexure P-9, in a specific period.

Learned State counsel, appearing on advance notice, submits that the pending representation, dated 05.06.2023, shall be decided by respondent No.2, by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law, within three months.
