*** Report from JMIC Ist Class, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar received, in terms of which Balvir Singh @ Billu, the present petitioner had earlier been declared as proclaimed offender and after his arrest supplementary challan was filed against him by the police on 4.9.2017 and out of 26 witnesses 1 witness has been examined so far, whereas two witnesses have been give up as unnecessary. Counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner would cooperate in recording statements of those witnesses by cross examining the witnesses by not getting unnecessary adjournments.
After arguing some time, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he be permitted to withdraw the petition at this stage. Dismissed as withdrawn. However, learned State counsel has been directed to ensure that appearance of eye witnesses is caused in the trial Court at the earliest.
