*** RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J. (ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to sanction the mutation of land holding of Late Smt. Gurdev Kaur in favour of the petitioner in accordance with law as per the provisions contained in Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1987 as the respondents authorities are unnecessarily delaying the sanction of mutation in favour of the petitioner for extraneous considerations thereby putting the petitioner to undue hardship, despite the petitioner having bequeathed the property of her deceased mother by virtue of the registered Will dated 26.05.1998 (Annexure P-5). Further prayer has been made for directing respondent No.1 to initiate the appropriate departmental proceedings against respondents No.3 & 4 for committing dereliction in discharging of their official duties as well as for not supervising the working of revenue officials working under them by not RITTU 2024.04.25 10:11 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that for the redressal of her grievance, the petitioner has already filed her representation dated 06.03.2024 (Annexure P-7) before respondent No.2 but no action has been taken on the same till date. Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Navneet Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State. He submits that the representation filed by the petitioner would be decided expeditiously.

In view of the above position, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. the Deputy Commissioner, Patiala to look into the representation of the petitioner dated 06.03.2024 (Annexure P-7) and decide the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
