*** Sudhir Mittal, J. (Oral) An enquiry has allegedly been initiated under Section 20 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 on account of alleged embezzlement of funds. The present writ petition has been filed by the Gram Panchayat and the same is not maintainable as proceedings have been initiated in the personal capacity of the Sarpanch.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to file a fresh one on the same cause of action.
