(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of appropriate directions to respondent No.2 to ensure fair investigation of FIR No.16 dated 17.01.2013 registered under sections 406 and 420 IPC at Police Station Sultanpur Lodhi, District Kapurthala. Reply of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Sultanpur Lodhi, District Kapurthala on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 has already been filed and it is submitted that the cancellation report has been forwarded in the Court of Illaqa Magistrate on 04.01.2017. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents/accused has also submitted that the petitioner/complainant has already filed a protest petition against the cancellation report.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed having been rendered infructuous. However, the parties are at liberty to raise all the available pleas or defences before the trial Court at appropriate stage.
