The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS for issuance of appropriate direction to respondent Nos.1 and 2 to transfer the investigation of the cross-case registered vide GD No.33 dated 30.01.2026 (Annexure P-6) registered under Sections 109, 190, 191(3) of BNS, and Sections 25/54/59 of Arms Act, 1959 in case FIR No.276 dated 22.12.2025 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 109, 303(2), 324(4), 351(2), 190, 191(3) of BNS and Sections 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act, at Police Station Cantonment, Amritsar, to some senior police officer. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition, as the petitioner seeks to first approach the competent authority by way of a representation regarding his grievances, particularly that the cross-version case has not been properly investigated and that, despite sustaining grievous injuries, his statement has not been recorded.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner that he will move a representation regarding his grievances first to the competent authority i.e. respondent No.2 and respondent No.2-The Commissioner of Police, Amritsar City, is also directed to look into the matter and to consider the representation moved by the petitioner, in accordance with law.
