HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that the petitioner while in service had met with an accident on 06.03.2014 while performing his duties and the result of the said accident resulted in making the petitioner 86% disabled and his arm has been amputated but the petitioner has not been given any compensation for the said loss whereas, the respondents have themselves framed rules in 2017 for compensating the employees who suffered disability while performing the duties, and therefore, keeping in view the notification (Annexure P-4) dated 18.05.2017, the petitioner is entitled for the grant of compensation and other benefits.

CWP-8312-2022 has already raised the said issue with the respondents by filing representations (Annexures P-5 & P-6) dated 09.03.2015 and 17.07.2017, with reminder Annexure P-7 on 16.12.2019, but no outcome of the said representations has been informed to the petitioner despite a reminder. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Raman Kumar Sharma, Addl. A.G., Haryana accepts notice.

The learned State counsel submits that the representations Annexure P-5 to P-7 would be decided by the Managing Director of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order by keeping in view the notification of the Govt. of Haryana dated 18.05.2017 (Annexure P-4). The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of the learned State counsel, no grievance of the petitioner survives, and prays that the present petition may kindly be disposed of as having been not pressed any further at this stage. Ordered accordingly.
