ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for protection of life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents. In pursuance to the notice of motion, reply by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Dhuri, District Sangrur has been filed and as per this affidavit, the Inspector General of Police, Zonal-I, Patiala, Punjab has marked the enquiry on the two applications submitted by the petitioners and the SHO, P.S. Sadar Dhuri has conducted a detailed enquiry by associating both the parties and submitted a detailed enquiry report dated 05.07.2017 holding that the matter is of civil nature and no cognizable offence is made out. A copy of the enquiry report is attached as Annexure R1. In view of the above, this petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous with liberty to the petitioners to avail their alternative remedy before the trial Court, in case so advised.
