(Oral) By way of instant petition, filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C., petitioner is seeking interim bail in case FIR No. 89, dated 30.07.2019, under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (in short 'the NDPS Act'), registered at Police Station Julkan, District Patiala.

Pursuant to order dated 02nd July, 2021, of this Court, learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Gurvinder Singh, has apprised the Court that the petitioner's wife is indeed to undergo surgery at Safadarjung Hospital, New Delhi on 07.07.2021.

On a query put to learned State counsel with respect to the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, he on instructions has apprised the Court that no other case, much less, under the NDPS Act, stands registered against him.
