JUSTICE HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI Present:- Mr. Parminder Singh, Advocate for the petitioners. *** Harsimran Singh Sethi, J. (Oral) In the present writ petition, the grievance of the petitioners is that they were wrongly denied appointment in the year 2011 when the other similarly situated candidates were appointed but the petitioners were given appointment after the decision of this Court in the year 2013-2014. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that petitioners are entitled for fixation of their benefits such as seniority, pay etc. with effect from the date, the candidates similarly situated as the petitioners joined in the year 2011.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that petitioners have already submitted representations dated 21.08.2019, 21.08.2019, 22.08.2019, 22.08.2019 and 23.08.2019 (Annexures P-5 to P-9) to the competent authorities i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala and Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is NARESH KUMAR 2020.08.

CWP 10345 of 2020 issued to the authorities i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala and Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib to decide the said representations (Annexures P-5 to P-9) by passing an appropriate speaking order in accordance with law.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Pankaj Gupta, learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and raises no objection for the grant of prayer as made by the petitioners in the present writ petition. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioners, the authorities i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala and Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib respectively are directed to decide the representations dated 21.08.2019, 21.08.2019, 22.08.2019, 22.08.2019 and 23.08.2019 (Annexures P-5 to P-9) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioners are entitled for any monetary benefit, the same shall also be released to them within a period of next three months. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
