The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking direction to respondents No. 1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members at the hands of respondents No. 5 & 6. Learned State counsel in compliance of order dated 03.05.2023 has filed status report by way of affidavit of Surinder Chand, Deputy Superintendent of Police, SBS Nagar, District SBS Nagar, Punjab, which is taken on record. In view of the status report filed by the State, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the instant petition and seeks to withdraw the same with liberty to avail alternative remedy in accordance with law.
