Quashing of FIR on the basis of compromise has been prayed for.

Notice of motion to the Advocate General Punjab. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Mr.Gurinder Jit Singh, DAG., Punjab, present in the the Court. Copy given.

The complainant is present in the Court represented through Mr.Gobind Dhanda, Advocate. She informs that she is residing with petitioner No.1.

Incidentally, the Investigating Officer is present in the Court.

This petition is disposed of with a direction that in case respondent No.2 gets her supplementary statement recorded regarding the matter having been compromised, it will be open to the Investigating Agency to file cancellation report. The complainant may submit no objection to the cancellation report. It will be open to the Illaqua Magistrate to accept the cancellation report. It will be appreciated in case necessary steps are taken within a period of 1 to 2 months.
