(ORAL) The petitioner through the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is seeking direction to trial court to expedite the proceedings arising out of petition bearing No. MNT-125/124/2020 dated 5.6.2020 under Section 125 Cr.P.C.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petition under Section 125 Cr.P.C. was filed on 5.6.2020 and almost three years have passed, however, till date neither main petition nor interim maintenance application has been adjudicated. The petitioner No. 1 is staying with her son who is 09 years old and she is in need of financial assistance. The object of interim maintenance would be defeated if her application is not decided expeditiously. This Court is not oblivious of the fact that the Family Courts are over-burdened, however, keeping in mind the fact that petition under Section 125 Cr.P.C. was filed in 2020 and till date, PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.05.02 16:59 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
