The instant petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of aforementioned FIR. 2.
At the time of issuance of notice of motion, the following order was passed on 30.4.2024:
"The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered against him vide FIR No. 125, dated 14.4.2024, Police Station Kalanwali, District Sirsa, under Section 21-B of NDPS Act. As per the case of prosecution, one Rajat Kumar was apprehended by the police and who was found in possession of 6.70 grams of 'Heroin'. It is further the case of prosecution that during the course of interrogation, he disclosed that the said contraband had been supplied to him by Paramjit Singh (petitioner). CRM-M-21318-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) Learned counsel submits that he has falsely been implicated in the instant case on the basis of a disclosure statement which would not carry any evidentiary value particularly in the absence of any other corroborative evidence. It has been submitted that although the petitioner happens to be involved in some other cases, but not in any case relating to NDPS Act.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Arresting/Investigating Officer and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C."

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from the ASI Sukhdarshan Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioner has since joined investigation and he is not required for any custodial interrogation. 4.
