**** RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK J. (ORAL) Petitioner, by way of instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeks directions to the official respondents to conduct fair and impartial investigation in FIR No. 237 dated 16.10.2014, under Sections 452/308/149 IPC (Section 302 IPC was added later on), registered at Police Station Guruharsahai, District Ferozepur. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions ASI Ajmer Singh, submits that an effective investigation has been conducted. Faced with the above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that let the present petition be disposed of in view of the statement made by learned counsel for the State but the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur-respondent No.2 may be directed to ensure that effective investigation is conducted at an early date and the report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. is presented to the learned court of competent jurisdiction without any delay. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur-respondent No.2 to ensure effective investigation in the matter and presentation of report under Section 173 Cr.P.C to the learned court of competent jurisdiction without any undue delay. With the abovesaid observations made and directions issued, present petition stands disposed of.
