PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) By way of present writ petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner pray for issuance of a writ in the form of directions to the respondents to promote the petitioner as per Instructions issued by Govt. of Punjab dated 25th of March, 2021 (Annexure P-6) 2.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the policy, petitioner would be entitled to be considered for promotion to the post of Clerk on clearing Punjabi Type test. Petitioner is ready to undertake the same and has also represented to the respondents vide representation dated 29th of March, 2023 after the similar representation dated 4th of June, 2021 submitted by the petitioner remained uneffected and undecided. 3.

Respondents No.2/3 may take decision as per the policy and strictly in accordance with law on the representation made by the petitioner DEEPAK KUMAR 2023.04.28 17:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Needless to say in case the petitioner is found to be entitled, necessary relief shall be given to him within a further period of four weeks thereafter. However, in case the respondents still feel that the claim of the petitioner sans merit and deserves to be rejected, the same shall be adjudicated only by passing a speaking order after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.

Writ petition is disposed off accordingly.
