******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Petitioner seeks protection of his life and liberty and that of his family and also for registration of FIR against respondent No.4 for committing fraud and cheating while getting job in police department to the post of ASI by using forge caste certificate. In reply, it has been specifically stated that the allegations levelled by the petitioner have been found false and baseless. The certificate submitted by respondent No.4 as economically backward class was issued by Sub Divisional Officer Moga.

In view of reply, there is no reason for giving direction to the police to register FIR. Request of petitioner to this effect is declined. This petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to look into the apprehension of petitioner qua threat to his life and liberty and that of his family, verify the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
