**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) This petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.4 to 13.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that both the petitioners are major and have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 13 and have sought protection to their life and liberty. They apprehend danger at the hands of respondents No.4 to 13. The certificate evidencing their marriage is on record as Annexure P-3. The petitioners have submitted a representation (dispatched on 12.05.2022) (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka. Reply by way of an affidavit dated 18.07.2022 of the Deputy AMAN JAIN 2022.07.29 16:54 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRWP-4920-2022 (O&M) -2Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Jalalabad, District Fazika, filed on behalf of the respondent-State, in the Court, is taken on record. As per the aforesaid reply, the petitioners in their statements have specifically stated that they are residing happily together in the parental house and have no apprehension from anybody and as such, they do not want any security/police protection.

In view of the above, no further orders are called for. Disposed of.
