Petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.36 dated 24.3.2013 registered at Police Station Makhu, District Ferozepur for the offence under Sections 324,323,34 IPC (Section 326 IPC added later on) and all subsequent proceedings arising out of the same on the basis of compromise. Learned state counsel submits that the challan has not been presented and in view of the compromise, the police has prepared a cancellation report, which is yet to be filed. As per allegations in the FIR, the occurrence took place on 24.3.2013 and respondent Nos.2 & 3 were caused injuries by the petitioners. As per the report of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ferozepur, the parties have entered into compromise and they have got recorded their statements to this effect. In their statements, respondent Nos.2 & 3 have categorically stated that they have compromised the matter without any inducement or undue pressure and have no objection if the FIR

CRM-M-42669 of 2013 (O&M) #2# and all subsequent proceedings arising out of the same are quashed. Parties belong to the same Village and it will be in the interest of the parties, their families and the Society at large that the settlement reached by them with the intervention of respectable be honored. Even otherwise, the offence is not of serious nature that the FIR cannot be quashed.

In view of the above discussion, present petition is allowed. FIR No.36 dated 24.3.2013 registered at Police Station Makhu, District Ferozepur for the offence under Sections 324,323,34 IPC (Section 326 IPC added later on) and all subsequent proceedings arising out of the same are quashed.
