Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No. 81 dated 8.4.2014 under Section 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Kotwali Faridkot and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Learned State counsel, who is assisted by Assistant Sub Inspector Amarjit Singh, has submitted that trial is near conclusion as prosecution has closed its evidence and the case is listed before the Trial Court for defence evidence of the petitioner. In view of the submissions made by learned State counsel, no ground for further interference by this Court is made out.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
